Privacy Policy

Overview

ScenePack Studio is designed with a local-first approach. Video files, frames, character data, face detections, scene detections, exports, and AI analysis are processed on your device and are not uploaded to ScenePack Studio servers.

To provide licensing, security, and account services, we use our licensing and security service, AuthCentral. AuthCentral processes limited information required to validate your entitlement and protect the software from abuse.

What We Process

Depending on how you use our services, we may process:

• Account identifiers and optional email address
• Linked Discord user ID
• License and entitlement data (status, type, expiry)
• Existing purchase and account history
• Limited device and system information for licensing and security
• IP and network information
• Application and build version data
• License validation and security events

Licensing & Security (AuthCentral)

AuthCentral activates and validates licenses, checks status and expiry, enforces activation and device limits, detects significant device changes or unauthorized license sharing, prevents abuse, and supports customer inquiries.

The information processed for these purposes may include license identifiers, device bindings, validation results, application version, session and request IDs, timestamps, and network information.

ScenePack Studio may process limited device and system information when validating a license. This is used to bind licenses to devices, detect significant device changes, prevent unauthorised license sharing, and support security investigations. A device identifier may be retained, and extra system information may be processed during device or security reviews; however, not all system information is permanently stored.

IP & Network Information

While the desktop application does not explicitly submit an IP address field, AuthCentral and our infrastructure providers receive the source IP address through the normal network connection.

IP data may be used for security, abuse prevention, investigations, and activation correlation. Raw IP addresses may appear in security events or admin notifications, and hashed IP addresses may be retained with activation records. Some security and log data has no defined automatic retention period.

Discord Integration

Discord is used internally for license and security monitoring. Notifications sent to our internal monitoring channels may include a linked Discord identifier, masked license information, license IDs, network information, masked device identifiers, operating system and application information, validation results, and limited device or system information required for investigation. Raw license keys and sensitive tokens are not sent to Discord.

AI Character Naming (Optional)

AI Character Naming is an optional feature that only runs when deliberately invoked by the user. When used, the service may send selected face-cluster thumbnails, title or context hints, and internal identifiers to Google Gemini to generate actor or character suggestions.

AuthCentral does not permanently store submitted face thumbnails. Thumbnails and hints are transient; requests and results may be cached for approximately 10 minutes for idempotency. We do not forward license keys, device identifiers, IP addresses, Discord IDs, or session IDs to the AI provider.

Google processes AI Naming content under the applicable Gemini API and privacy terms.

Automated Licensing Decisions

Automated checks may restrict access if a license is expired or revoked, if activation or device limits are exceeded, if significant device changes are detected, or if security/rate-limit triggers occur. In such cases, administrators may investigate and, where appropriate, reset device bindings or restore eligible licenses.

Retention

• License records, linked Discord IDs, and device bindings: Retained until deletion.
• IP hashes: Retained with activation data until deletion.
• Extra device/system data: Generally transient, though limited data may enter security or device-review events.
• Activation records and security/lifecycle events: No defined automatic retention period.
• Discord admin logs: No AuthCentral-controlled automatic deletion.
• AI Naming cache: Approximately 10 minutes (thumbnails are transient).
• Backups: Provider-managed (exact period varies by provider).

Deletion & Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. Deletion requests may cover license and account metadata, linked Discord IDs, device bindings, activation records, IP hashes, and security records where technically available.

Please note that some Discord history may require manual deletion, and provider backups may persist under provider-controlled retention periods. We do not sell or rent personal information, nor do we share it for targeted advertising or use AuthCentral customer data for unrelated marketing.

Service Providers

We use trusted service providers where necessary to operate ScenePack Studio and provide features such as payments, licensing and security, account services, optional AI features, infrastructure, and customer support.

These providers may process limited information on our behalf only where needed to provide their respective services. The information involved depends on the feature being used and may include account information, payment-related information, licensing data, network information, or information deliberately submitted to an optional feature.

Where an optional feature sends information to an external provider, we describe that processing in the relevant section of this Privacy Policy. Service providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to their applicable privacy and data-processing terms.

Payments

Payments are processed by trusted third-party payment processors. ScenePack Studio does not store complete payment card information on its own servers. Please refer to the payment provider's privacy policy for details.

Analytics

We do not currently use third-party website analytics to track how visitors browse ScenePack Studio.

Technical information may still be processed where necessary for security, reliability, abuse prevention, and normal operation of the website and services.
